Creation of OCCHE and the Chinese institutions it represents
In November 2009, a long history of cooperation with Chinese manufacturers and authorities became signed agreements with three Chinese institutions. That is how the China-Spain Trade Office, today OCCHE, was born. Other bodies joined in the following years.
The three founding institutions
- CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade). China's official body for the promotion of foreign trade and investment, in charge of the major investment and expansion projects of Chinese companies. In 2014 OCCHE and the CCPIT signed an open-ended representation agreement.
- CIECC (China International Electronic Commerce Center), together with the CCOIC (China Chamber of International Commerce). It gives access to the largest company database in China, the tool we use to verify factories and locate distributors.
- Foreign Affairs Office of the Qingdao Municipal Government and of Shandong province. Essential for smoothing administrative procedures with the various bureaus: company formation, licences, visas and relations with the local authorities.
The institutions that joined later
- ACFIC (All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce). It brings together the leading companies and figures of the Chinese business world, forming a circle between the economy, investment and politics.
- WFCMS (World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies). Under the Ministry of Civil Affairs, it is an academic association that promotes cooperation between traditional Chinese medicine and Western institutions. It is the basis of our integrative medicine project.
- ZHONGKONG INTERNATIONAL ENERGY INVESTMENT. A state-owned company focused on investment in energy and mineral resources, integrating Chinese financial and industrial resources. OCCHE signed its representation agreement in August 2015.
What this representation means for your company
Representing these institutions is not an honorary title: it is access. Access to official databases to run due diligence on a supplier, to the chambers of commerce to organise a trade mission, to the municipal bureaus to incorporate a company, and to the right counterparts when a file gets stuck. All of it with a private team that answers in English, Spanish and Chinese.
