OCCHE, China-Spain Commercial Office

Export to China: your sales network, managed

We manage your sales network in China from end to end: we locate the right distributors, negotiate in Chinese on your behalf, organise trade missions with the Chinese chambers of commerce and open the online channel for you. You export; OCCHE makes sure your product reaches the people who will sell it.

Identifying the best partners in China

We cross-reference the extensive CIECC and CCOIC databases with the company profile that best matches our client's needs and portfolio, and deliver a shortlist of suitable partners for your interests in China: importers, exclusive or regional distributors, retail chains, pharmacies and online operators. Every candidate is verified (licence, capital, categories already distributed, brands in their portfolio) before being contacted.

Outsourcing your export department

OCCHE appoints an adviser for each export project, responsible for:

  1. Translating and adapting your commercial materials into Mandarin Chinese: catalogue, presentation, product sheets and sales pitch.
  2. Contacting and negotiating with potential distributors.
  3. Closing the commercial agreements with those distributors, exclusive or retail, with contracts reviewed by our legal team.
  4. Following up communications in Chinese and in your language to keep daily operations moving: orders, documentation, registrations and replenishment.

It is an export department for China without fixed overheads, at the cost of a service and with the continuity of a single point of contact.

Trade missions and trade fairs in China

Full organisation of tailored trade missions, in collaboration with the Chinese chambers of commerce and the CCPIT, to attend China's main trade fairs, visit distributors and secure solid strategic agreements. We prepare the meeting agenda, the interpreter, the logistics and the follow-up of every contact. We also organise business networking events with the CCPIT like the one you can see in our videos.

Online channel and cross-border e-commerce

OCCHE was a pioneer in promoting China's online channel to Spanish companies and knows the ecosystem well: general platforms such as TMALL and JD, specialised or flash-sale platforms and the cross-border channel, which allows you to sell to Chinese consumers from outside China with lighter registration requirements. We help you decide whether the online channel is right for your brand, with which model (online distributor, specialised store operator or your own store through a partner) and how it fits with physical distribution. OCCHE does not run online stores: it selects and supervises the right operator on your behalf.

Prerequisites for exporting to China

Before negotiating with a distributor, three points that condition any agreement should be settled: your trademark registered in China, the product registration where the category requires it (cosmetics, supplements, food) and a pricing policy consistent with the channel, which we define in the market research. OCCHE coordinates all three in parallel so that your export is never held up by a formality.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find a distributor in China for my product?

By cross-referencing official databases with the distributor profile that fits your category and channel, verifying each candidate and negotiating in Chinese. OCCHE does this as the representative of the CIECC and the CCOIC, and closes the deal with reviewed contracts.

Do I need to register my trademark before exporting to China?

Yes. In China a trademark belongs to whoever registers it first. Exporting without a registration exposes your brand to a third party, even your own distributor, registering it and blocking your imports.

Can I sell on TMALL or JD without a company in China?

Yes, through the cross-border channel or an authorised store operator acting on your behalf. OCCHE helps you choose the model and the right partner, but does not run online stores directly.

What is a trade mission to China and what does it include?

A tailor-made business trip: a meeting agenda with verified distributors, visits to sector trade fairs, an interpreter, logistics and follow-up of every contact, in collaboration with the Chinese chambers of commerce and the CCPIT.
